Priyanka Taslim is a writer, educator, and lifelong Jersey girl. Growing up in a bustling Bangladeshi diaspora community, surrounded by her mother’s entire clan and many aunties of no relation, she writes stories about families, communities, and all the drama therein, starring intrepid Bengali heroines as they seek their places in the world and find love along the way.


Her debut YA novel, THE LOVE MATCH, was praised by Teen Vogue, USA Today, and more, as well as being named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and one of Amazon’s Best Young Adult Books of 2023. Her sophomore YA romcom, ALWAYS BE MY BIBI, also earned critical acclaim from the Junior Library Guild. After a lifetime of only seeing South Asian characters who are tokenized, Priyanka loves to populate her worlds with mostly Desi casts and enough twists to make a Bollywood director gasp.
